# נקמת הטרקטור נקמת הטרקטור היא להקת רוק אינדי ישראלית שהוקמה בשנות השמונים על ידי ארבעה חברים: אבי בללי, אופיר לייבוביץ', אילן גרין ודני מקוב. הלהקה הוציאה את אלבומה הראשון בשנת 1990, אשר זכה להצלחה מסחרית משמעותית והוכר כאלבום חלוצי בתולדות הרוק הישראלי. ## ביוגרפיה בשנות השמונים, עוד לפני שלרביעיית החברים היה שם רשמי, החלו הם לאסוף חומר מוזיקלי, לערוך חזרות רבות ולחפש חברת תקליטים שתוציא את עבודתם. למרות שחברות תקליטים רבות סירבו, הן הבעו הערכה לכישרון הרביעייה. בתקופה זו, הקים ניצן זעירא את חברת התקליטים העצמאית "נענע דיסק" ומצא עניין בהקלטות הדמו של הלהקה. לאחר משא ומתן קצר, חתם זעירא את הרביעייה על הסכם להפקת אלבום חדש. ## קריירה זעירא הציע את המוזיקאי ברי סחרוף להפקת התקליט, והקלטות האלבום החלו בתחילת 1990 באולפני D.B. במהלך ההקלטות, המוזיקאי רמי פורטיס הציע ללהקה את השם "נקמת הטרקטור", על שם שיר שנגנז מתקליטו "סיפורים מהקופסא". האלבום "נקמת הטרקטור" יצא לאור ב-3 במאי 1990 והכיל מספר להיטים בולטים, ביניהם הסינגל "משחק של דמעות", "אדון הסליחות" (המבוסס על ניגון יהודי ספרדי) ו"עפיפונים" (גרסת כיסוי עברית לשיר של האל האקאדיי ולי פוקריס). עם יציאת האלבום, קיבלה הלהקה תגובות יוצאות דופן, ביניהן הצעה לכתוב מוזיקה ללהקת בת שבע. הלהקה הלחינה את המוזיקה ליצירה "קיר" מאת אוהד נהרין והופיעה במאי 1990 בפסטיבל ישראל. ## הישגים האלבום זכה להצלחה מסחרית משמעותית עם מכירות של למעלה מ-50,000 עותקים. בשנת 2018, פרסם תאגיד השידור הציבורי "כאן 11" רשימת האלבומים המשפיעים ביותר בישראל ב-40 השנים האחרונות, וממוקם אלבום "נקמת הטרקטור" במקום ה-29. כאן 11 כתבה כי האלבום "היה חלוצי באווירה הקודרת והדרמטית שאפפה אותו - זה לא אלבום רוק טיפוסי ונקמת הטרקטור לא חיפשה את 'תהילת הרוקרים'. יש בו עומק, אותנטיות וגוון אתני מובהק". האתר האמריקאי Discogs דירג את האלבום עם 4.5 כוכבים מתוך 5.

# Revenge of the Tractor Revenge of the Tractor is an Israeli indie rock band formed in the 1980s by four friends: Avi Balali, Ophir Leibowitz, Ilan Green, and Danny Makuv. The band released their debut album in 1990, which achieved significant commercial success and was recognized as a pioneering album in the history of Israeli rock. ## Biography In the 1980s, before the quartet of friends had an official name, they began collecting musical material, conducting numerous rehearsals, and searching for a record company to release their work. Although many record companies declined, they expressed appreciation for the quartet's talent. During this period, Nitzan Zeira established the independent record label "Nanana Disk" and showed interest in the band's demo recordings. After brief negotiations, Zeira signed the quartet to a contract for the production of a new album. ## Career Zeira proposed musician Barry Sakharoff to produce the album, and the album's recordings began in early 1990 at D.B. Studios. During the recording sessions, musician Rami Fortis suggested the band adopt the name "Revenge of the Tractor," named after a song that had been shelved from his album "Stories from the Box." The album "Revenge of the Tractor" was released on May 3, 1990, and contained several notable hits, including the singles "Game of Tears," "Master of Forgiveness" (based on a Sephardic Jewish melody), and "Kites" (a Hebrew cover version of a song by Al Hakadai and Lee Pockriss). With the album's release, the band received exceptional responses, including an offer to compose music for the Bat Sheva Dance Company. The band composed the music for the work "Wall" by Ohad Naharin and performed in May 1990 at the Israel Festival. ## Achievements The album achieved significant commercial success with sales exceeding 50,000 copies. In 2018, the public broadcasting corporation "Kan 11" published a list of the most influential albums in Israel over the past 40 years, and the album "Revenge of the Tractor" was ranked 29th. Kan 11 wrote that the album "was pioneering in the dark and dramatic atmosphere that surrounded it—it is not a typical rock album and Revenge of the Tractor did not seek 'rock star glory.' It contains depth, authenticity, and a distinct ethnic character." The American website Discogs rated the album 4.5 stars out of 5.
