# מיכל שפירא מיכל שפירא היא זמרת ושחקנית ישראלית הפעילה בתחומי הג'אז, המוזיקה המקורית והתיאטרון. היא ידועה בעיבודיה המקוריים של קלאסיקות ג'אז, בשיתופי פעולה מוזיקליים מגוונים ובהופעות בתוכניות טלוויזיה ישראליות. ## ביוגרפיה מיכל שפירא נולדה ב-10 באוקטובר 1980 בחיפה. היא גדלה בחיפה, למעט שנתיים בהן שהתה משפחתה בארצות הברית בעקבות שבתונים של אביה. אביה, אביעד שפירא, הוא פרופסור להנדסה אזרחית בטכניון, ואמה, ראומה שפירא, היא רופאה פנימית. לשפירא אחות צעירה, יעל שפירא, שהיא צ'לנית. למדה מגמת תיאטרון בחטיבת הביניים לאמנויות "רעות" ובתיכון ויצו אמנויות קנדה בחיפה. שירתה בצה"ל בלהקת חיל החינוך, בהנחיית המפיק המוזיקלי חגי גינסבורג והבמאי עידו מוסרי. בשנים 2000–2003 למדה משחק בסטודיו למשחק ניסן נתיב. ## קריירה ### התחלות בטלוויזיה וקולנוע בשנות ה-2000 המוקדמות שיחקה בסדרות טלוויזיה כולל "חלומות נעורים" (2001), "כנפיים" (2002) ובסרט "לילה ללא לולה" (2003). ### פעילות מוזיקלית החל משנת 1998 עבדה עם המוזיקאי אורי שלזינגר על מופע קאברים בסגנון ג'אז בהשראת אחינועם ניני וגיל דור. שנתיים לאחר סיום לימודיה יצרה את מופע "קברטירוף" – מופע קומי מוזיקלי המציג פרשנויות מקוריות לקלאסיקות מחזות זמר וג'אז. שותפה למופע היה הפסנתרן יובל שפירא. המופע הועלה במועדון המינרווה ובהמשך במועדון שבלולג'ז (2004–2011). ### פרויקט Y וההמשך ב-2004 התקבלה לתוכנית המציאות "פרויקט Y" של yes בשם הבדוי מישל, וזכתה במקום השני. לאחר מכן הצטלמה לתוכנית מערכונים אינטראקטיבית "האוסף של יוסף". ### שנות 2005–2010 ב-2005 שיחקה בתפקיד אורח בסדרה "השיר שלנו" ובתפקיד משנה בהצגה "צלילי המוסיקה". הקליטה שני שירי האוס עם הדיג'יי אוסי תחת השם MICH-ELLE. ב-2006 טסה ללוס אנג'לס, לקחה שיעורי משחק ב-Howard Fine acting studio והקליטה 3 שירים באנגלית. בחזרתה להקליט אלבום ג'אז מקורי כסולנית להקת "הזמן של אמיליה", עמם הופיעה במשך 3 שנים. החומרים נכתבו על ידי הפסנתרן אבי מזור והגיטריסט גדי ציקמן. הוציאו לאור סינגלים כולל "מנהיג בדיוק בשבילכם" ו"הבוקר שאחרי". ב-2006 החלה לשתף פעולה עם המוזיקאי יהונתן אופנהיים. הקליטה איתו את אלבום הבכורה "PICTURES OF MYSELVES" של OPPENHEIM MUSIC PROJECT בתור הסולנית המרכזית. הם הופיעו עם הלהקה ובהופעות דואט אקוסטיות. המופע האקוסטי הועלה במסגרת "פסטיבל הפסנתר" במרכז סוזן דלאל בנובמבר 2012. הסינגל הראשון "SHE KNOWS" צולם לו קליפ בבימויו של בעז רוזנברג. קליפ נוסף שצולם היה גרסת הכיסוי שלהם לשיר "SHAKE THE DISEASE" של דפש מוד. כתבה טקסט לשיר "בחלומי" באלבום הבכורה של יעל בדש וטקסט לשיר "בוא אלי" באלבומה של קמילה. בקיץ 2010 הופיעה כזמרת ליווי של אייל גולן בסדרת המופעים בהיכל נוקיה ויצאה איתו לסיבוב הופעות בארצות הברית. בו זמנית שרה כזמרת ליווי לצביקה פיק. ### שנות 2010–2015 ב-2009 החלה צילומים לתוכנית הדוקומנטרית "בקרוב אהבה" ששודרה בערוץ 2 החל מינואר 2010. בתוכנית תיעדה את הקשיים בתהליך חיפוש בני זוג. ביצעה את שיר הנושא של הסדרה וכמה שירים שלה. ב-2011 הצטלמה לסרטו של ריקי שלח, "אילוף הגוררת" דוקומדיה העוסקת בפמיניזם. בסוף 2011 הקליטה עם אבי בללי ולהקת נקמת הטרקטור את השיר "גאות". במאי 2012 השתתפה במופע מחווה לאיימי ויינהאוס בתיאטרון הבימה. החל משנת 2011 הופיעה כסולנית באירועים בהרכב הדאנס THE GIRLZ. בסוף 2015 העלתה מופע מחווה לאיימי וויינהאוס בגרסה אינטימית בליווי הפסנתרן תמיר לייבוביץ'. בקיץ 2018 הגיעה עם המופע לסיבוב הופעות בצפון גרמניה שהסתיים במופע חגיגי במסגרת פסטיבל הג'אז של ברלין. ### אלבום הבכורה וסינגלים ב-2015 החלה להקליט את אלבום הבכורה שלה, ברובו בהפקתו של נדב ביטון. ממנה את הקלטת האלבום באמצעות אתר הדסטארט למימון המונים. ביוני 2016 הוציאה את הסינגל הראשון "אלוהים הוא אישה" שכתב נועם חורב והלחין לורן בנג'מין פלד. לשיר צולם קליפ בבימוי טל סיקורל. באוקטובר 2016 הוציאה את הסינגל "הזמן שעבר" לרגל יום השנה של אורי סלונים. בינואר 2017 שחררה את הסינגל "אהבה", תרגום לשיר "space and time" של The Pierces. הקליפ צולם על ידי זוהר שיטרית וזכה לקרוב ל-30 מיליון צפיות ביוטיוב. במאי 2017 שחררה את הסינגל "פריז" שנכתב על ידי טל רביב והולחן על ידי תומר בירן. השיר שוחרר בליווי קליפ שצולם בפריז. בספטמבר 2016 החלה להופיע בהבימה במחזמר "עלובי החיים" בתפקיד פנטין, אותו חלקה עם מיי פיינגולד ומירי מסיקה. בינואר 2017 התחרתה בתוכנית "הכוכב הבא לאירוויזיון" בערוץ 2. ביצעה את השיר "Chandelier" של סיה ועברה לשלב הבא אך הודיעה על החלטתה לפרוש מהתוכנית עקב עומס בלוחות זמנים. אלבום הבכורה "מיכל שפירא – תקליט ראשון" יצא לאור בסוף אוגוסט 2017. ### שנות 2018–2024 בקיץ 2019 הצטלמה בתפקידי אורח בשתי סדרות מקור ישראליות: "לעבור את הלילה" קומדיה עם שי גולדשטיין ולאה לב ל-YES ו"לאבד את אליס" של סיגל אבין ששודרה בהוט ב-2020 ונמכרה ל-Apple TV. בספטמבר-אוקטובר 2019 הופיעה בציריך ובלוזאן, שווייץ, כזמרת סולנית במופע קרקס קברט "או-לה-לה" של משפחת קני. בפברואר 2024 הוציאה את "אוקטובר", סינגל ראשון מתוך EP שני שכולו פרי עטה. במרץ 2024 עלתה ההצגה "זינוק" בכיכובה בתיאטרון הבית, יצירתם של מרינה בלטוב-גראס וסאבה סאבלייב. החל מ-2023 משתפת פעולה עם דוקטור קרן אור-חן בהרצאה מוזיקלית על צמיחה ממשברים "Back from black". ## הישגים שפירא זכתה במקום השני בתוכנית "פרויקט Y" (2004). הצגתה "נסורת" (2007) זכתה בציון לשבח במסגרת פסטיבל Smallבמה. הצגת "היצור" (2012) בה שיחקה זכתה בפרס "קיפוד הזהב" על עיבוד מחזה. קליפ השיר "אהבה" שלה הגיע לקרוב ל-30 מיליון צפיות ביוטיוב. ## חיים אישיים בתוכנית "בקרוב אהבה" תיעדה שפירא את הזוגיות שלה עם המפיק המוזיקלי משה לוי ואת פרידתם. בהמשך התוכנית חידשה את הקשר הזוגי עם המוזיקאי והפרסומאי אורי סלונים, שהיה בן-זוגה בעבר. הם החלו להקליט שירים ולהופיע יחדיו ברחבי ישראל, על רקע המאבק היומיומי של סלונים במחלת הסרטן. אחד משיריהם שזכה לפרסום רב הוא "מה זה עצוב (רחמים)". הקשר הרומנטי ביניהם תועד בסרט התיעודי "הלוואי שתמותי", בבימויה של עמליה מרגולין, ששודר בערוץ השני בדצמבר 2011, עד לפטירתו של סלונים באוקטובר 2011.

# Michal Shapira Michal Shapira is an Israeli singer and actress active in the fields of jazz, original music, and theater. She is known for her original arrangements of jazz classics, diverse musical collaborations, and appearances on Israeli television programs. ## Biography Michal Shapira was born on October 10, 1980, in Haifa. She grew up in Haifa, except for two years when her family lived in the United States due to her father's sabbaticals. Her father, Aviad Shapira, is a professor of civil engineering at the Technion, and her mother, Raouma Shapira, is an internist physician. Shapira has a younger sister, Yael Shapira, who is a cellist. She studied theater at the "Raot" Arts Middle School and at Vitzo Arts High School in Haifa. She served in the IDF in the Education Corps band, under the direction of music producer Hagi Ginsburg and director Ido Moseri. From 2000 to 2003, she studied acting at the Nisan Netiv Acting Studio. ## Career ### Early Television and Film Work In the early 2000s, she appeared in television series including "Dreams of Youth" (2001), "Wings" (2002), and in the film "Night Without Lula" (2003). ### Musical Activity Beginning in 1998, she worked with musician Uri Shlezinger on a jazz-style cover show inspired by Ahinoam Nini and Gil Dor. Two years after completing her studies, she created the show "Cabaretoff"—a comedic musical performance featuring original interpretations of classic musical theater and jazz standards. The show's partner was pianist Yuval Shapira. The show was performed at the Minerva Club and subsequently at the Shabouloges Club (2004–2011). ### Project Y and Beyond In 2004, she was accepted to the YES reality program "Project Y" under the pseudonym Michelle and won second place. She subsequently appeared in the interactive sketch program "Joseph's Collection." ### 2005–2010 In 2005, she played a guest role in the series "Our Song" and a supporting role in the play "The Sound of Music." She recorded two house songs with DJ Ossi under the name MICH-ELLE. In 2006, she traveled to Los Angeles, took acting classes at the Howard Fine Acting Studio, and recorded three songs in English. The program documented the difficulties in the process of finding a partner. She performed the series theme song and several of her own songs. In 2011, she appeared in Ricky Shelach's film "Taming the Tractor," a dramedy dealing with feminism. At the end of 2011, she recorded the song "Pride" with Avi Baleli and the Tractor's Revenge band. In May 2012, she participated in an Amy Winehouse tribute show at the Bimah Theater. Beginning in 2011, she performed as a soloist in events with the dance ensemble THE GIRLZ. Her play "Tradition" (2007) received an honorable mention at the Small Stage Festival. The play "The Creature" (2012), in which she performed, won the "Golden Hedgehog" award for theatrical adaptation. Her music video "Love" reached close to 30 million views on YouTube. ## Personal Life In the program "Coming Soon Love," Shapira documented her relationship with music producer Moshe Levi and their separation. Subsequently, the program documented her renewed romantic relationship with musician and publicist Uri Salomim, who had been her partner previously. They began recording songs and performing together throughout Israel, against the backdrop of Salomim's daily struggle with cancer. One of their songs that gained significant attention is "What Is Sadness (Mercy)." Their romantic relationship was documented in the documentary film "I Wish You Would Die," directed by Amalia Margolin, which aired on Channel Two in December 2011, until Salomim's death in October 2011.
