She survived the massacre that occurred in the shelter near Kibbutz Be'eri, hiding and lying beneath the bodies of the dead while feigning death for extended hours, even after sustaining shrapnel wounds. In her address to the United Nations Human Rights Committee in March 2024, she recounted the horrors she witnessed during the massacre.
