His sister is actress and musician Kineret Limoni. He began studying drums in 1986, and after approximately a year and a half, he founded the band "Temporary Sanity" with his friends while still a high school student. In February 1990, the band members recorded the song "The Last Summer," written by Max Gat-Mor, three days before Limoni's enlistment in the IDF. The song received airplay on radio stations before the Gulf War, and when the war broke out, it was played frequently.
