She specializes in diverse genres including rock, Arabic music, Middle Eastern music, and pop. Tassa is known for her work on traditional Iraqi music and significant international collaborations. ## Biography Tassa was born and raised in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv. She is the daughter of Avtalyon, a municipal employee and diamond polisher of Yemenite origin, and Carmela, of Iraqi origin, a bank employee. During her childhood, she was active in the community center and later studied at the Municipal High School A with a focus on music. At age 15, she released her first album, "I Love the Songs," produced by Betzalel Galeadi. ## Career ### Early Years (2000-2003) Following her military service, Tassa released the album "More Clear" in 2000. In 2002, she joined as a guitarist the house band of the talk show "Yatzpan." In April 2003, she released her third album, "By Choice," which received significant exposure and extensive radio airplay. Successful singles included "And You What Does It Do," "I Had a Friend I Had a Brother," as well as "You Came with Silence" and "I Run." ### Years of Success (2004-2009) In 2004, she released her fourth album, "Just in Time," which contained the hit "The Night No" – a cover version of a song by Rita.
