About Gali Atari

Gali Atari is an Israeli singer born in the early 1950s in the city of Rehovot to a Yemenite Jewish family. She began her music career at a young age, recording the song "If You Have the Sun" in 1970, which became a major hit in Israel. Since this recording, she has remained active in the music world for more than 50 years. In 1979, Gali Atari won the Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the band "Milk and Honey" with the song "Hallelujah," which was performed on March 31, 1979. This success marked a turning point in her career. Throughout the 1980s, she continued to release albums that sold tens of thousands of copies and received significant recognition from both the public and the industry. In 1992, she was named Singer of the Year by Israeli radio station Reshet Gimel. Among her well-known songs are "Chazaka Meharuach," "From the Distance," "A Long Road," and "Children and Umbrella." Today, she has approximately 60,000 followers on Spotify.
